A fashion magazine styled as a high school yearbook reimagines the ending of Heathers, using couture fashion to celebrate and promote the film’s iconic legacy.

Goal
Create a high-fashion magazine based on an existing piece of media.
Research
Heathers holds a lasting place in pop culture, from the original 1989 film to its dynamic musical adaptation. In developing this project, I explored both interpretations, but the musical’s vivid aesthetics, heightened drama, and signature color palettes offered the strongest foundation for a high-fashion editorial. Its stylized costuming and bold visual identity naturally align with a couture-inspired direction.
Concept
Resurrected reimagines the ending of Heathers by bringing the trio back to life for a high-fashion takeover of Westerburg High, framed as their own reclaimed yearbook. Using photography, set design, clothing design, lighting, typography, and layout, the project blends couture aesthetics with the visual language of high school nostalgia to showcase the Heathers’ revived dominance. This concept uses elevated style and dark humor to amplify themes of power, control, and identity.
